A little aside from my usual posts on innovation, design and change to tell you about a more personal experience of mine in recent times.

You may have noticed I haven't posted for a while, given a recent trip to europe, the bit with highly limited internet and ablutions (i.e. greece and other nearby countries) .. a part of said trip which was attending a good friends wedding.

This was quite simply the most beautiful wedding I have been to. Weddings for me a highly personal affairs so I will not digress here except to tell of the opportunity that was extended to me to sing at the wedding.. an experience that has given me renewed strength, focus and passion for achieving anything I set my mind to.

I have not sung infront of people for some 15 years, and never an unaccompanied aria.

It took a few months of lessons to remember how to sing again and countless times going over the aria in my mind and the support of a few good friends and family in providing guidance and feedback to be able to stand up on the day and perform..

In any case, it seemed to go well .. and the setting could not have been a better one to come back to something I probably should have been doing all along.
